A small ritual before lighting: why is it important to trim the wick?

Every candle has its rhythm. To burn calmly, evenly, and retain its scent exactly as intended, it only needs a few seconds of attention before each lighting.

One small trim of the wick can make a big difference.

Flame control

A wick that is too long creates a larger and more restless flame, which can cause more smoke and soot. A properly trimmed wick allows for calmer, more stable, and more even burning.

Cleaner experience

During burning, residue can accumulate on the wick. If not removed, it can affect the flame quality and create more smoke.

A tidy wick preserves what we light a candle for — a sense of peace, warmth, and a moment for ourselves.

The scent remains true to itself

A flame that is too large can heat the wax too quickly and affect how the scent is released.

When the wick is trimmed to approximately 4–5 mm, the fragrance notes develop gradually and harmoniously.

The candle lasts longer

A wick that is too long consumes wax faster than necessary. By trimming it regularly, you help the candle last longer and burn as intended.

Because sometimes, slowing down is exactly what we need.

Safety first

A smaller and more stable flame means safer burning and a more pleasant candle experience.

Before each lighting, take a moment for this small ritual.
For a candle that lasts longer. For a calmer flame. For a moment that endures.
